Gennie had all four wisdom teeth taken out yesterday. Chris and Mom were very wonderful and the best nurses in the entire world, staying with her the entire day. Chris has fed her pudding at regular intervals and repeatedly thwarted her attempts to locate any foods she cannot have but wants, like caramel apples and Indian food. Alas. Below is a picture of Gennie at her parents' house with the frozen peas and corn that Mom stuck to the sides of her face.
Apparently, during the surgery Gennie kept talking about the Pythagorean Theorum while semi-unconscious under anesthesia. She remembers none of this, but the doctors and the nurses found it highly amusing. Perhaps this is some sort of hidden signal from the ancients that we are supposed to build pyramids in Chris' backyard...

Artie and The Green Flash are growing well in the backyard. They are lavished with lots of attention while we wait for tomato and pepper planting time to come around. They are getting bushier, though they haven't attempted to produce any actual artichokes. But stay tuned!
